Formerly of the Islands of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Winston is an alumnus of the New York Institute of Photography and the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale.
He is also an alumnus of The Catholic University of America, Washington DC, and the University of Miami. He is a former print media and broadcast journalist and a former news editor at
the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (Nassau). After the FNM Opposition Party won the General Elections of 1992, he was retired the following year as Consul General after almost two decades
in the Diplomatic Service of The Bahamas. Much earlier however, and after The Bahamas had achieved its Independence from Great Britain on 10th July 1973, Winston was among the early pioneers
of Diplomats who were posted overseas. As such, and in February of 1974, Winston launched a new career as a Diplomat with a posting to the
Embassy of The Bahamas, (Washington DC) as the very first Third Secretary & Vice Consul of an Independent Bahamas.
