Originally from the Islands of The Bahamas, Winston is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is also
an alumni of The Catholic University of America, Washington DC, and the University of Miami. He is a former print media and broadcast Journalist and a former News Editor at
the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas. Winston is now retired as Consul General after almost two decades in the Diplomatic Service of The Bahamas. After the
Islands of The Bahamas achieved its independence from Great Britain (10th July, 1973) he was among the first contingent of diplomats to be posted abroad.
February, 1974 Winston started his career as a diplomat with a first posting to the Bahamas Embassy (Washington DC) as Third Secretary.
Six months later he was additionally appointed Vice Consul with consular jurisdiction throughout the entire USA.
